This thread is by no means complete, there are still a lot of things to change and new projects to include. I will edit this post at a later date when I have more time.
![]() Those of you more informed, can you please list all the projects and proposals that I've missed, and of the ones that are listed can you please let me know if they are no longer going ahead. Thank you. |

Congrats, Medo. This is a courageous effort on your part to bring present and future projets up to date. You asked us to comment, add, change etc. I have the following observations:
1. City Pride/Landmark North. Thought the architects behind this scheme were now Squire & Partners and the design may well have changed from the render shown. 2. Wood Wharf. There have been mre recent renders of projected/proposed buildings for phase 1 (see post # 913). The various architects include Pelli and Assoc., KPF. Not sure what input Rogers Stirk Harbour have in this though, apart from the initial master plan. 3. 1 Park Place is now an empty plot. A smaller alternative mid-rise has also been submitted (see Post # 517). 4. 1 Blackfriars Road. This building is no longer Mirax-Beetham. Title and the note about Jumeirah Hotels should be removed. They are no longer involved. 5. Northgate Tower is now called Principal Place with a new design by Foster & Partners. 6. 20 Fenchurch Street. Developers are Land Securities and Canary Wharf. 7. Merchant Square. Design has changed by Robin Partington at 42 floors (see Post # 302). 8. Vauxhall Cross Island: heights are 140m and 110m and 41 and 31 storeys respectively. Other Projects (various): Remove: Strata, NEO Bankside, 30 North Colonnade, New Court, as they are all complete. Add: Vauxhall Square 164m by Allies and Morrison; Hampton House 13-27 storeys by Foster & Partners; Eastbury House up to 28 storeys by Rogers Stirk Harbour, Sainsburys Nine Elms at 120m 90m and 62m by Rolfe Judd Change: Potters Fields description. This is now largely a low-rise development. Rename: New Providence Wharf Bldg C to Providence Tower. Hope this helps in your formidable task! |

Four more major additions that have been approved or proposed:
1. WR Berkely Lime Street at 192m by Kohn Pedersen Fox; 2. Manhattan Loft Apartments, Stratford at 140m by SOM; 3. 259 City Road at 30 storeys 4. Plough Yard, Shoreditch by Pringle Brandon Drew |

Updated render for Principle Place, formally called Northgate Tower:
![]() Updated render for Merchant Square (Height change also needed. 42 Stories, 140 meters): ![]() Updated render for Vauxhall Cross Island. (Height change needed as well, 140m and 110m) ![]() City Pride/The Landmark North - worth stating that the proposed new tower is only 239m AOD. Actual height will be more like C. 233m 1 Park Place: It isn't clear what will be built there. Canary Wharf Group were/have? submitted an application for a 650,000 sqft building, although they are retaining permission for the old for 950,000 sqft (197m building in the render) If the new planning application building is the one they go with, it should be around two thirds the height of the original proposal judging by floor space. http://www.skyscrapernews.com/news.php?ref=2846 100 Bishopsgate got a height increase ages ago. Should be listed as 172m not 165m. Updated render as well (click to view, way too huge to post directly): http://www.wsdev.co.uk/100Bishopsgat...Bish_v3_23.jpg 25 Churchill Place is NOT 130m. That is the AOD height. The AGL height, which should be listed, is 124m. The thread title needs changing to reflect this as well, as I suspect it is the source of the confusion. You have put the Market Towers proposal on the list twice, once with the new proposal and render (200m) and then further down you have also listed the old proposal (170m) which is no longer happening for obvious reasons. Found more changes:
Quote:
Bezier Apartments and Alberta House can be removed as they are complete. (Along with Strata, NEO Bankside, 30 North Colonnade and New Court as mentioned by gravesVpelli) Indescon Court – All the low rise sections have been built, but the 95m tower has yet to start. (that info might need double checking) Eagle House has Topped out, but is currently on hold. It was recently sold to Mount Anvil. Work expected to resume in the near future. 150 Stratford High Street is topped out and almost externally complete. Potters Fields needs changing. It has been approved and is under construction. This is what is being built: ![]() Skylon can be removed as well. Nothing has been heard since 2009 (If it was going to be built, it was for the 60th anniversary of the Festival of Britain in 2011). That has come and gone. Wallbrook Square info needs changing. Bloomberg bought the site and changed the planning application. This has been approved and is currently at the demo/basement construction phase: Bondway Tower - "The Octave" is NOT approved. Planning permission was refused. It is unclear what might be built there. Worth relegating that project to the "Other Projects" section and getting rid of the renders. Cuba Street info needs updating. A planning application for two towers of 51 and 39 fl was submitted earlier this year. Still waiting on the outcome I believe. (the thread title could also do with updating with the new floor count) ![]() New London Bridge House info could do with updating. Currently Topped Out. The Quill needs updating. It is approved and 109m, taller than the original proposal. Thread title info needs changing on that one too.

Chambers Wharf - I'd update to something like:
Demolition of the large cold stores to the east of Tower Bridge is complete. Planning permission remains in place for a Simpson-designed residential scheme of six buildings (tallest at 46m/14 floors) including a row of 13 helical wind-turbines along the river. But the original developers (St Martin's, aka Kuwaiti sovereign wealth fund) have sold the site to St James, joint venture between Berkeley Homes and Thames Water. Chambers Wharf is now a preferred site for some above-ground infrastructure for the Thames super-sewer. Expect at least a partial redesign, possibly an entirely new proposal, and certainly a long delay. And you could include Ontario Point at Canada Water, u/c, should complete mid-2013. Largely residential, bit of retail at the base. 26 storeys above ground, 96m tall (I think). Part of the final phase of British Land / Barratt Homes joint venture Maple Quays development. Wouldn't suggest it deserves a pic on this thread, but if you want one then suggest http://www.skyscrapernews.com/images...yline_pic1.jpg

Wow nice buildings core rising, thanks.
Maybe if we have the complete summary we can reset the topic? Starting with the first post?

It's honestly hard to know where to draw the line. There are so many 60 - 80m projects not on the list.

-> High rise
(Maybe just the projects above 100m?) -> Low rise (Projects that are interesting in greater London, just name, maybe picture or link to the thread?) I'm sorry that I can't help. But maybe we can all collect the projects for the new summary and then delete all posts in the thread?

A bit more pruning here. Leave it to you if you wish to update the notes:
For some reason 1 St George’s Wharf and the Heron Building have been removed but are still under construction. St George’s Wharf is of course a prominent inclusion. 100 Bishopsgate. Construction is unlikely to start before a substantive pre-let. Under Other Projects (various): St Mary’s, Elephant and Castle 127 metres/ 37 storeys by Squire and Partners 32-34 Bethnal Green Road now called Avant Garde. Under construction. Eileen House. Redevelopment in doubt following a refusal by local planning authority. 100 City Road. Original project refused and replaced by a squat, dull, featureless and totally unremarkable proposal. Trafalgar Way. Approved at third attempt and on hold. Elizabeth House. New proposals submitted April 2012 by David Chipperfield Architects. North block 123 metres and 29 storeys. South block 53 metres and 10 storeys Shell Centre Redevelopment. Proposals for extensive replacements submitted May 2012. Waterloo Trilogy Tower. Remove as no news since first mooted in January 2008. East India Dock. Scheme dead since 2008. 1 Mitre Square. Current building boarded up and awaiting demolition. 64-74 Mark Lane. Currently on hold but announcement that construction would start January 2013. 240 Blackfriars Road. Under construction. |

Yeah there are way too many projects, not that I'm complaining.
I quite like the idea of putting them into categories, otherwise it will be one big mess.

But even if you cut it off at 100m it's still so much! Can we maybe have 100-150 and then 150+?

Does the forum have spoiler tags? You could free up a lot of space with the pics/description in those if so.

The render of the skyline at the top seems to be way off, Guys is visible far left along with St Pauls yet the Shard is right in the middle of shot when its literally next door to Guys
