There is discussion heating up about a new skyscraper going up in the NE core of dt OKC!When the new convention center is built,a new 500-700 room hotel will also be built and most likely will go vertical.Sandridge Energy will also build a 300ft+ tall tower soon!As fast as the dt core of OKC is growing,I would not be suprised to see a residential tower in the future as well,I would also expect vertical development along the new boulavard and the new streetcar routes aswell!OKC 15 years ago compared to today is like night and day!

IF anyone thinks that I'm nominating OKC for one of the best skylines in America,I'm not!It would barely crack #35 in my list, heck IMO OKC doesnt even have Oklahoma's best skyline, for now!Now Tulsa on the other hand punches above it's weight and boast's 4 towers over 500'ft!

Didn't make the cut:

Boston - too plateau
Houston - too bland
Miami - too residential
Atlanta - too spread out
LA is a bit high on this list for my taste but I just wanted to say that I agree with your cut list and reasoning.

It's subjective of course. I'm convinced L.A. can put on an impressive display. From certain angles.

Though this effect seems to falls apart, when you place it in larger context:

LA is awesome because it's almost exclusively giant-ass office towers.
