Thanks for posting (saw this this morning, but couldn't peel myself out of bed early enough to get to a computer). Although I still maintain that the "spiral o' balconies" is a little tacky for such a prominent location, I do really like the interiors. Good materiality throughout. Floorplans are generally good too, although for the duplex I don't understand why you'd put the master bedroom on the floor below the living area instead of above.

This should have some pretty unique views of the harbor, the East River, and the growing Brooklyn skyline. The best part of it would be the romantic view of the bridges to the North...

...but unfortunately, this view should be almost completely blocked by the 80 South Street mega-tower.

Crowning Penthouse of Financial District's 60-Story Glass Tower Asks $18M
The penthouse of 1 Seaport is officially on the market
http://ny.curbed.com/2016/5/31/11822...-nyc-penthouse

Quote:
The apartment, a duplex, covers 4,489 square feet and has such penthouse-worthy features as a double-height living area with 22-foot floor-to-ceiling glass walls, a corner balcony, two additional private terraces, and direct elevator access. The apartment also has four bedrooms and two master bathrooms (because why not.) The penthouse's ask puts its price per square foot just a smidge over $4,000/square foot.

First Major Concrete Pour for Foundation at 1 Seaport

The first major concrete pour for the foundation at 1 Seaport (161 Maiden Lane) was completed on Wednesday. This pour took place just two weeks after Pizzarotti IBC completed the first concrete pour for the foundation at the AC Marriott, which is a project we are working on directly next door.

One Seaport will be the first all glass residential tower on the waterfront in the historic Seaport District in Downtown Manhattan. Rising 670 feet, this glass tower will accommodate 99 luxury apartments and dedicated amenities and will offer spectacular 360-degree views of the harbor, bridges and landmarks that define Manhattan. The project has a scheduled completion date of March 2018.

Carter Reviews 1 Seaport, New Downtown Skyscraper Offering Lighthouses in the Sky

Carter Reviews 1 Seaport, New Downtown Skyscraper Offering Lighthouses in the Sky

Fortis' upcoming 80-unit condominium tower 1 Seaport is dipping its toes in rather untested waters. Waters that have foundered a number of ambitious proposals ranging from Manhattan Landing to Frank Gehry's Guggenheim Museum. Though slightly more modest in scale, this project is moving ahead as planned, and once complete, it will be the first large residential building along FiDi's East River waterfront which, until now, has been dominated by a domino of office blocks.

Where do I sell my kidney?

That pool, especially

The interior is very stylish, with so many nods to art-deco.

What a contrast with the exterior, with its blue glass, spiral gimmick and fluorescent top.

Fortis Property Group’s1 Seaport is rising as the first large all-glass residential building along the East River waterfront at 161 Maiden Lane. As CityRealty reported in July, the FiDi building was wrapping up foundation work, and it has now begun its 670-foot climb into the downtown skyline. Upon expected completion in 2018, the building will comprise 170,000 square feet, featuring 80 condominiums across 60 floors. Designed by Goldstein, Hill & West, the slender, sheer tower has been dubbed “a modern lighthouse” with its clear and unrivaled exposures on three sides.

Manhattan's Seaport to Get First All-Glass Residential Tower

Quote:
Marketed by developer Fortis Property Group as Manhattan's "oldest new neighbourhood," the historic mercantile buildings of the Seaport have defined the built character of the area for decades. Gleaming glass towers are sprouting up throughout the island, and despite its low-rise brick architecture, the Seaport is not escaping the onslaught of highrise development. Climbing to a height of 204 metres (670 feet), Fortis' 1 Seaport will become the area's first all-glass residential tower.
