On the branch/leaves part of the tree, and it's usually only one or two not an entire row. But it's Dubai, what can't you do, right?

Here's a picture taken by me. A close up to the illumination. It looks great when all palms are illuminated along Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard!

hmm ive seen some streets that have every tree wrapped to the point where you cant see the tree anymore. i guess it depends on the neighborhood though.

On a side note, might this be the best-positioned tower ever, regarding the ease of following construction? I mean, there can't be more like a handful of places on earth where we'd be able to follow the construction of a supertall skyscraper from that kind of angle. Moreover, the best photo spot just so happens to be a major tourist destination. The tower is right in the middle of all "look at that view!" photos being taken from Burj Khalifa's observation platform. This means that a steady stream of people will keep posting construction updates for us on picture sharing sites, whether they intend to or not. We'll probably never see anything like that again.

The Address Fountain Views is also good positioned for regular updates, but there are other projects under way too (which are not supertalls),that are easy visible from Burj Khalifa. The Address Sky View (also partly visible in the pic above) and Burj Vista as well as The Opera District are one of them.

What puts Fountain Views behind this, if I've understood the location of the tower right, is that there's not much else to take pictures of in that direction. If you're standing on the Burj Khalifa outdoors observation deck and want to take a picture of the view, you'll point your camera towards the towers to the northwest, and then The BLVD will inevitably end up in the picture.
You only take photos Fountain Views-wise if you want to capture the desert for some reason; there aren't as many immediately attractive prospects in that direction as of yet. Basically, The BLVD is positioned right between the observation deck and the most relevant objects to take pictures of from there, resulting in a lot of "accidental" photobomb construction updates.
