Berlin 2012

These photos are from my trip to Berlin in the summer 2012. I spent a few days doing photography mainly in the central Mitte area. This set is not so much an attempt to cover the famous sights or the various parts of Berlin. It is rather a collection of impressions from my first (and hopefully not last) visit to this impressive and interesting city.

Enjoy

Many Photographers try to get as much as possible on a photo. But smaller, more detailed views often capture the impressions much better.

And you did a good job in captureing great impressions

Carry on, please.

Wow, how things have changed, every time I see my city here is always amazing, I owe a visit to Berlin. Klaus has done an amazing job in berlin, he managed to reduce inequalities between the eastern part of the city, not for nothing, he's ahead of the city as mayor there 12 years

Klaus wasn't it, but the Schwaben. By the way, this is perhaps the best photography I've seen on this forum!

I was in Berlin only some weeks ago! You made Berlin look really futuristic with these pics!

Thank you, much appreciated! My photos are usually quite minimalistic...

I was also positively surprised about how far the city has moved from the East/West days. Of course, I never saw that personally, I can only imagine and look at old photos. Isn't Mitte largely former East Berlin?

Lots of construction sites also, even in the very center of the city. Looks like more good things are on the way.

wow, great shots..those in post #4 are like modern paintings on canvas.
I always like Berlin, though I'd only seen half (West side) in person back in mid 80's
and one thing I remembered was the warmth of the people. thank you for sharing.
