Favorite Low Profile Skyscrapers in your city

Charlotte, for me;

1) 5/3 Bank Tower

2) 400 South Tryon

image hosted on flickr

3) 3 Wachovia ( Can't bring myself to call it Wells Fargo Yet)

(I would not consider Hearst, BOA Corp. Duke, or 1 Wachovia to be low profile in CLT)

All great choices!

How about the Humana Building in Louisville? I think it's Michael Grave's best work and possibly the world's finest example of Post-Modernist architecture...right in the Southeast!

There are 3 towers that I really love in New Orleans that don't get the exposure of all the towers on the riverfront. I really love the lines and styling on the first building. The glass facade on 1555 Poydras is striking from street level. I also love the bay window effect on the Energy Centre.

Mid-Continent Tower Tulsa

The famously up-thrusted prewar building in downtown Tulsa:

I consider Humana to be pretty high profile. Its a very famous building. For me... definitely the Kaden Tower. To locals: An unfortunate-looking small dog you can only feel sorry for... To out-of-towners: mere legend.

I kinda like the Kaden Tower. It's like Frank Lloyd Wright meets Edward Durrell Stone at the gates of Midcentury Hell!

Most of the transportation is done underground with the building having its own subway below the building.

Yes. It's a real gem sweater

I think it's time we love the uncomfortable architecture of the 60's with uncomfortably open hearts. Like this low-profile gem sweater in Tulsa:
