Major aims to make its mark with M brand condominiums

Major Development has strengthened its place in Bangkok’s booming condominium sector by revealing plans to launch three new projects under its new ‘M’ brand during the second half of this year.

The first project to be launched in the third quarter bu the Thailand listed developer is M Phayathai, a high-rise condominium located just 100 metres from the Victory Monument BTS station and close to the new Airport rail link station on Phayathai Road.

The 35-storey property, worth THB1.85 billion (US$57.2 million), will consist of 215 residential units offering one- and two-bedroom unit types ranging in size from 42 sqm to 75 sqm. Prices start from THB98,000 (US$3,030) per sqm, and pre-sales will take place on July 16-17 at Bangkok’s Siam Paragon Shopping Centre.

The other two ‘M’ projects to be launched by the end of 2010 are M Phayathai – a mixed-use development comprising of residential units and commercial and retail space and M Silom.

Got back from inspection yesterday. Build quality seems very good; however, there are quite a lot of small defects that the developer seems happy to fix.

I have a "unique" unit, so I'd prefer to not give away pictures of my unit, as it would give a bit too much info about myself away than I'm comfortable with. But I do have some 33rd floor facility pictures.

Some things worth mentioning:

-Everything is still very much in progress. My move in date is in early December. I'm fairly confident the building will be done by then.

-Elevators are air conditioned. Was pretty impressed with that, as some of what many call the nicest condos in Bangkok do not even have that.

-Specs are up to, or in some cases, even beyond showroom specs. Wood floor seems of better quality than in showroom, and bathroom sinks are a slightly more expensive American Standard brand than what was in the showroom.
