Construction sites in Paris - Danish buildingengineer-students need help!

Hey everybody

Im writing on behalf of a class of building/constructional-engineer-student from Denmark. We are going to Paris in mid March 2013 as a educational trip.

We are interested is seeing construction sites and other places (engineering colleges etc.) with relevans to our education and looking for engineers or engineer-students that can help us finding places of interest in and near Paris (preferrably with a 1 hour busride radius of Paris (Ile de France))

Can anyone help us?

Hej, hvordan gor det med dig ?

Bienvenue sur le thread français / welcome on the french thread !

I am not a building engineer but I am sure some of us will help you out with your reasearch.

One big construction site situated in central Paris is the french pentagon

You can also have a look in La Defense, one of the financial districts of Greater Paris. It's an easy reach from central Paris with Metro or RER (S Tog like ). Three big towers (Majunga, Carpe diem and D2) and one big hotel (Melia) are under construction.

For the rest, have a look through the french section and I am sure you will find plenty of them scatterd in greater Paris the biggest european metropolis ! Are you in contact with ENTPE or ESTP ? (french engineering schools specialized in building engineering)

Vi ses, knus ! Hope Copenhagen is still doing fine ! (when will you start to learn french like your ancestors ? )

A.

Like a floating ship in the trees; wide opened to nature, the building imagined by Frank Gehry expresses the spirit of the Fondation Louis Vuitton pour la Création, ever in state of becoming. It was conceived to be continuously reinvented with the passage of exhibitions and events. In exquisite harmony with the environment, its interior and exterior spaces breathe as one.

and hseugut: I spend 12 days in Paris in march 2010 (should only have been 7 days, but a volcano got in the way of Air France...) and I agree: Paris is a fantastic place (but Im not planning on learning French - seems to difficult)
