The Bund. Crowds of tourists stroll along the massive pedestrian promenade which was rebuilt before 2010 expo as part of the Bund renovation programme having costed hundreds of millions of $. You can really see where all that money went. The Bund riverside must be one of the most impressive urban river waterfronts anywhere in the world. And I'm not even talking about the view that appears on the other side of the river

Bank of China building

The roof the middle building hosts the famous Bar Rouge which is a popular venue with well-off locals and foreigners alike. I have heard of this bar to be one of the famous and cool places of Shanghai so decided to pay a visit which I did a bit later during my trip

Aurora Plaza, the 185m tall tower designed by Nikken Sekkei. Despite not being among the tallest skyscrapers of Pudong it is one of the most noticeable ones due to its color and riverside location

The main street (Zhongshan East 1st Road) has seemingly become much narrower after the reconstruction and reconfiguration of traffic before 2010. Much of the traffic is now underground in tunnels

The Bund Bull. One of the attractions on the Bund. It is hard to get a moment to take a photo of the bull because at almost all times there are people taking their own photos

And more Audi. Audi is the most popular premium/luxury car brand in China. China is now Audi's largest market. It's an interesting fact that the main lineup of models (A4, A6 and A8) are all long-wheel base ones, hence A4L, A6L and A8L. As far as I understand, Audi doesn't even sell standard (non L) version in China. Same applies to BMW

Watering decorative plants. I have noticed that Shanghai (as well as probably all other major cities) are paying a lot of attention to landscaping and decorative plants all over the city. Lots of people seem to be employed to do all the job

Overview of the Bund from an elevated platform on the promenade. Broadway Mansions building can be seen on the far right. This is where I came from. Again, I have to say what an amazing riverfront that is! It seems they did an amazing job with the upgrades which were completed in 2010 and cost hundreds of millions of $. It must really be one of the most amazing urban spots I have ever seen

After this I had to have some rest and then made my way back tot he Bund to see how it all looks after it gets dark. As it it cold be expected it looks even more impressive than during the day. Photos will follow soon.

The next episode of my Shanghai visit is evening Bund. Having seen it on a lovely sunny day I could only imagine how it looks in the night so despite being tired I grabed my tripod and made my way back to The Bund on the same evening.

As I was expecting I wasn't the only photographer there

Aurora Plaza has an LED 'screen' on its facade as so does the nearby Citigroup Tower. That is a ood way of advertising and those places DO get seen by people
