Wow, Tokyo actually has a lot of developments happening even after the sky tree. It would be cool to see another super tall proposal however.

Thanks for the pictures. They show that the demolition of the neighborhood that will be redeveloped has now started, this after the city gave approval to this project in March.

The City of Shinjuku also released some more info just this week.
http://www.city.shinjuku.lg.jp/kusei..._05_00017.html

The tower will get 60 floors, instead of the 59 that is in the thread title. The maximum height is 200m, but this gives some room to go as high as 212m. The construction notice signs that should be put up around the site when the demolition is completed should tell us the actual height.

The design has also changed, here's a little render.

Completion is now scheduled in 2017.

I have focused on the redevelopment of Nishishinjuku 5 central north and north.
In particular, high-rise building more than 200 meters. I Will let you know new information to complete, but also a construction for a long time.
Also I was surprised about the change of design.
Thank you.

House is very old, building of around fifty years ago might be. However, here is the location of 1 miles from Shinjuku Station...15min by a walk....

The east side of the Ju-niso dori street high rise buildings, the West has become the old town.
Contrast is very interesting.....
