I didn't claim it was a commieblock. I just noticed this grey block.
But thanks for the useful information, I'm glad it's a protected monument, but it needs an urgent renovation.

They certainly have to remove the graffiti if it is a protected building.
Can you tell me where it is located?

North of the old town, near the National Technical Museum and a sports stadium. Click here.

Outside the center lays Sedlec Ossuary. This chapel contains the skeletons of between 40.000 and 70.000 people, whose bones have been artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings for the chapel.

it's a latish interwar modernist block. Actually in eastern block, all modernist arhitecture were substituted by commies. First commies were influenced by modernism, and gradually, their arhitecture was transformed into ripe commies blocks(a kind of brutalist, actually large concentration of commieblocks which invaded all eastern cities)

Look at this blocks There were built in 60ies, and surprisingly there were categorized as modernist architecture, but it's more brutalist

And so we arrive in Slovakia, for a natural intermezzo of mountain hicking. First stop, Poprad, where we take the Tatra Electric Railway into the High Tatras.

Storks are such a common sight in Europe. I loved seeing all of the nests in Alsace, for example.

Spectacular pictures, thanks for sharing! I crossed Poprad during my trip to Ukraine this summer and was fascinated by the landscape I saw in this area, but unfortunately I didnīt have enough time to make a stop in Central Slovakia. The Slovakian mountain landscapes seem to be almost as beautiful as the Alps, but not so overcrowded.

Well, some times and some places it was fairly busy over there. Once we stood more than an hour in line for a cable car.
