Meh I quite like Market Towers though. surely a reclad would have been better with a flagship tower built somewhere else in the immediate area? Like you said Vauxhall isn't short of towers, and it's a great place to build them.

What crazy economics is that? Developers are in the business of maximising value not preserving a nice tower here or there and instead pushing for planning permission elsewhere with shakier prospects. Also the position is prime for views and there is already a precedent for approving a tall building on this site. Welcome to the free market mogwai83, I hope you enjoyed communism whilst it lasted...

Bring on the New development! sad to see alot of londons tall 60s and 70s blocks being demolished, several 80m+ blocks have been taken down in the last decade but we need to move on and build taller.

I don't even think they need a reclad, they look great as they are. But yeah, if they've gotta go they've gotta go. It's no great loss in the grand scheme of things.

It was badly designed, has terrible ground floor spaces and the floor plates are redundant for modern office environments and wastes most of the space on the plot. Other than that I see no reason why it should be redeveloped

Yes please to these! Right location for a new cluster - if they anything like the render they will be top notch! With St G UC I would think PP is looking quite likely.

Very nice i think, nice too see some parts of the economic cog are still turning. I dont see why a 200m tower would have trouble here, since the 180 m st georges has begun construction. may steal the limelight og St geogre tho.

I think vauxhall cross has the potential to become a beautiful cluster, and these towers along with the Saint George Wharf tower seem perfectly fitting.

not bad, this will get built, it is in an ideal location, is not an eyesore and has good uses (hotel, apartments ect)
