YEG | Edmonton International Airport

I thought my hometown deserves some significance for it's international airport.

It looks as a runway configuration used in Mirabel (YMX).

"huge" announcement is likely for YEG in the coming months.

From another site:
Quote:
This route will have a fair amount of O&D traffic and regional connections to the area. In addition it will give access to a large hub in the region for travelers heading elsewhere. As mentioned it's not a dedicated YEG flight so it'll be shared with another city.

I passed through Edmonton to Europe on the new KLM flight. Lovely. However my flight from Vancouver gave me a 5 hour connection at Edmonton. It was long, but not uncomfortable. Edmontonians can be proud. There is room for more international flights.

Took a few shots in September on my way back to London.
I was surprised how many flights there are between Calgary and Edmonton. I saw quite a few on the screen despite being there in late afternoon.
I checked later on skyscanner and there must be more than 20 flight each way a day.
For cities which are 3 hours drive apart it's quite a lot.
