That's not political maturity. Clearly, you can see that even here in SSC. Some forumers would defend a particular president at all costs na parang mga palamunin.

I would want sana na the party has stand for constitutional reforms for economy and federalism. Enough of actors, actresses, dynasties and clowns.

Does anyone here know of any update about Hagedorn? His office and campaign trail. Worth donating.....

Using Arroyo as election bogey won’t work anymore, say poll analysts

MANILA, Philippines — Posturing as the opposite of former President and now Pampanga representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is unlikely to be a hot strategy for the 2013 elections campaign, and may not rake in the votes as it did before, lawmakers believe.

Liberal Party official and House Majority Leader Neptali Gonzales II said that with Arroyo no longer holding a powerful national post and having no direct impact on people’s lives, candidates in next year’s polls should not expect to successfully run a campaign based on criticizing her alone, as it would not have the same effect on voters.

“She’s no longer in power and she has no direct effect on people’s lives,” Gonzales said.

“Particularly in a non-presidential election, it would be difficult for a politician to make a campaign issue out of her since it’s been three years since she was out of power,” he added.

Several politicians, including President Benigno Aquino III, campaigned in 2010 by presenting themselves as anti-Arroyo, who was then beset by criticisms for several allegedly anomalous projects and whose trust and approval ratings were going down.

Gonzales also noted that Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, who led two failed uprisings against Arroyo, was propelled into the Senate with 11 million votes in 2007 despite campaigning from prison, and that some analysts believed his victory was a result of the strong sentiment against Arroyo then. <--- ang talino talaga ng pilipinong bobotante. I dont think political dynasties can be avoided. Even if you replace the old dynasty, it will be replaced by new ones. It's about these political dynasty needs to learn to be more of a servant to their people and instill that seed as they pass their legacies down to their children and grand children. I don't even know if that's near possible at this point but atleast the younger generation should learn from the mistakes of their elders. Meaning, if the government seirously take care of corruptions and remind their collegues about honesty, then perhaps these old dynasties would reform. It sounds too good to be true but it does have to start somewhere. I know Pnoy is still guilty of nepotism or favoritism but lets face it, its a start if someone do really work on going corrupt officials, then the people would express their disatisfaction on the performance of the president PEACEFULLY and not in a way where they are working to distabilize the goverment, the Philippines cannot afford to do another people power as it does not prove to get the country anywhere either.
