Rob Bacolod looks very spacious and classy. Not to make some comparison, but i observe na parang "outdated" na iyong Robi Cebu compared to new generation of Robinsons, in terms of looks.

I think, it's just for BPO and office spaces...But mall developers are now very bullish to invest more in our country, so who knows...

yeah i heard that too...sabi nga malapit sa north reclamation or cebu port ata. Pero, kahit outdated na ang robinson's fuente marami pa ring tao ang pumupunta dun kahit na puno ang SM at Ayala.

^ Yeah, soft opening means that they'll open without much hype. Grand opening is when they'll officially launch the expansion with all the marketing strategies they can think of.

who knows? ...baka merong biggest surprise ang Robinsons sa Cebu...abangan! ...hehehe!

..'eto 'yong lot na nabili ng Robinsons Land Inc. sa may North Reclamation Area....a kilometer away (more or less) from SM City Cebu...sa ngayon, katatapos ng clearing sa area at they are now fencing the area...eto yon, baka may surprise dito ang Robinsons...heheheh!

A footwear distributor carrying French brand Sledgers hopes to reach Cebu's growing upscale market with its decision to open a boutique inside SM City Cebu Northwing.

“(The) developments in the real estate here are a very good sign for us to open a boutique here. We are optimistic about the market here because we tested our products before in Rustan's sometime in 2006,” said Johanns Tan, brand manager of Sledgers.

Asked why they decided to open the first branch outside of Manila in Cebu, Tan said: “Cebu is an economic hub. After three years in the market for Sledgers, we felt that it is about time to open a boutique in Cebu.”

The company has plans of opening more stores in the Visayas carrying other brands. Tan, however, said there are no plans to open a Sledgers boutique in Mindanao.

Tan said they are not wary of competition since they target a niche market. He noted that the brand doubles its sales growth year-on-year with 103 percent growth sales in 2006.

Sledgers is distributed in the Philippines by Primer Group-Uniglobe Travelware Co., which also introduced The North Face, Res Toe Run and The Travel Club brands in Cebu.

Products under premiere Classics, the top-of-the-line collection of Sledgers that is often used for formal business wear, costs between P9,000 to P10,000.

Tan said products under this line are designed and manufactured in France, the country where Sledgers originated.

The prices of the brand's Asian Line, on the other hand, can range between P2,290 to P5,490. The Asian Line is manufactured in different countries in Asia including Vietnam, China, Thailand and Vietnam.

Although the store's mainly target senior executives with ages ranging from 35 to 45, it has also develop products, which cater to the younger market, Tan said.

“We have been developing products suitable for the young market which cost P3,790 but still with the comfort and durability they can expect from our products,” he told business reporters in yesterday's store opening.

The SM City Cebu branch is the third Sledgers boutique.

The other boutiques are located in Ayala Trinoma and SM Mall of Asia.
