Panorama Tower in Brickell is soaring above the clouds

BY JOSH BAUMGARD JAN 25, 2017.

Last time we checked in was in October of last year when construction hit the 57th floor. Well, 19 floors later and the view is heavenly, looking down upon the clouds, the core of Miami, and neighboring bodies of water.

Miami just needs about 10-20 more towers of this height !

Quite a skyline. And in another 20 years this will be the new Venice. All these towers will rise right out of the ocean. It's going to be cool, or maybe hot!

20 years is too soon for anything like that, 40 maybe. By the time it gets that serious preventative measures will already be in place. There is planning for rising ocean levels as we speak.

Anyone know how many more floors until it tops out? I was under the impression it was going to be Miami's tallest? Doesn't look like it.

Also, anyone have the thread for the building UC on the far left of the skyline (next to Four Seasons)?

r
As long as certain top figures continue to deny climate change, those protective measures won't be really invested into.

Until their million dollar beachfront properties start being washed away. Then you'll see how quickly the narrative will change.

I'll start worrying about Climate Change when the people who are harping on it begin to act like it's real.

Panorama Tower Is Now Miami’s Tallest

Panorama Tower Is Now Miami’s Tallest
By TNM Staff on March 28, 2017

The developers of the $800 million Panorama Tower say that it has passed the height of the Four Seasons tower (240m) and is now the tallest in Miami.

“As the tallest building south of Manhattan, we developed Panorama to become a Miami icon,” said Jerome Hollo, Manager at Florida East Coast Realty. “We’ve seen Miami’s growth and transformation into a global city over the past several decades, and we’re constantly working to bring this city to new heights. We are eager to introduce Panorama to the burgeoning Brickell area.”

The building is scheduled to top off at 85 stories, or 868 feet tall including antenna.

A fire on the 68th floor last week was contained to a single unit and won’t affect the construction schedule. Completion is scheduled for October 2017.

The lower levels of the project includes a 208-room Hyatt Centric hotel, 100,000 square feet of medically-oriented office space, and 50,000 square feet of high-end retail space. The upper levels will have 821 luxury rental apartments.

There won’t be an observation deck on top, but there will be a restaurant and lounge on level 52.

A retail-lined promenade will also be built at the north end of the property, becoming the only public connection from Brickell Avenue to Brickell Bay Drive for several blocks.
