Pity for RVR who's got a great history.

If I remember well, Riga, it was around 78 millions Euros for 20 trams (only one bidder: Skoda) that will arrive sooner or later (they are ordered)., (other companies have somehow been put aside...). Instead of 20 trams of Skoda, Riga could have had around 80 trams of St-P or RVR 80% low floor revamped...

Riga is wonderland and I am Alice...
Damn true, some strong lobby, maybe Shlesers again. Why should city buy expensive foreign trams, while they can buy cheaper local made with creating GDP, taxes, workplaces. Nobody cares

It's quite common for Russia to employ terminators and Morbo's good friends for selling and checking tickets frankly speaking. Oh man, you better have a ticket and never argue with them or.. they will DESTROY YOU!!
Sorry for the offtop.

The Kassel and the The Hague express tram also use similar trams but from Alstom. Similar: so no 100% low floor and not all wheels are powered.

I guess it's a good lay-out for express tramsystems!

The new Skoda tram looks fantastic!!! It's also impressice that all wheels are powered but is it really 4 times more expensive??
