A typical run-down English council estate

Could be any city or town, but this is Wolverhampton in the industrial English midlands.............

Jesus christ! How is that a typical run down council estate? I've never seen anything that bad in the UK. Not so much the tower blocks, but those first few houses, bloody hell.

I think Low Hill was quite typical of many suburban housing estates in central and northern England, where the forgotten English poor were shoved away from the redeveloped city centre areas. The estate has always been in the bottom 1% of the UK indices of deprivation.

The semi detached house photos are taken from 7 different roads, but they have been cleared now and the estate is currently unrecognisable to those images.
