Kastav, Kvarner, Croatia

Kastav was built on an isolated hill 378 meters above sea level.
It's historic center, many parks and big forest are attractive to foreign visitors and hikers.

Grobnik, Kvarner, Croatia

Grobnik, a medieval town near Rijeka known for the battle of Grobnik field that occurred in 1242 between the Croats and the Tatars.

Rastoke is the historic center of the Croatian municipality of Slunj.
This old part of Slunj is known for its well-preserved mills and the picturesque little waterfalls along the Slunjčica river,
which flows into the river Korana at this place. The Korana river originates at Plitvice Lakes National Park.

Nin, Dalmatia, Croatia

A small town near Zadar situated in a lagoon on the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea,
surrounded by natural sandy beaches and linked with the mainland by two stone bridges from the 16th century.
According to historians the area of Nin appears to have been settled 10000 years ago.
Nin was historically important as a centre of a medieval Christian Bishopric. Nin was also the seat of the Princes of Dalmatia.
Because of the importance of Nin in the history of Croatia, tourists visit from Croatia and elsewhere in Europe.
They come especially to visit two symbols of the old town: the church of Holy Cross from the 9th century called “the smallest cathedral in the world” and the coronation church.

Favelas in Brazil haven't any relation with Italian/Iberian architecture. During centuries my country shows a strong process of social exclusion, and favelas are one of the most iconic landmarks of this fact.

Not only Italians and Iberians have migrated to Brazil, but also Germans, Poles, Syrians, Japaneses, and the culture of favelas is in whole Brazilian territory, not only in Rio. You can see favelas in towns and small towns. It's not rare. I mean, I guess you have posted a gaudy conclusion about Italians/Iberians and their influence in Brazilian culture.

*Most of developed regions of my country (social aspects, specially) were founded by Italian colonies. Trust me: the social problems in Brazil are "made in Brazil"; they aren't imported from others countries. It's our fault as a democratic society letting them still alive.
