I don't know what idea you have of Renaissance.

Certainly those are not Renaissance style buildings, first of all because all the buildings from Piedmontese villages had been built before the birth of the Renaissance thought and far from Tuscany.

building from Carignano (XIV a.C.)

building from Pinerolo (XIV a.C.)

Castle of Fčnis (XIV a.C.)

Village of Pavone Canavese

building from Avigliana (XIII a.C.)

building from Bussoleno (XIV a.C.)

Sant' Antonio di Ranverso Abbey (XIV a.C.)

Renaissance art is characterized by the study and the rediscovery of the ancient models, both in architecture and sculpture. Architectural elements of classical art are rediscovered and reused, and architectural study focuses mainly on the organization of the harmonic volumes of space, light inside the building. Architecture becomes harmony, proportion, symmetry, and reflects the new harmonic dimension and synergistic man found in relationship with nature and with God.

This is a typical Renaissance village: Pienza

I do not see any medival style (romasque, gothic) building on the square in this pic: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...l-BCN-4864.jpg
Apart from one.

But of course, It's form far away, I can be wrong.

I don't understand. This photo is from a museum of replicas in the city of Barcelona, not a village.

Spain is full of medieval buildings. In fact, it has (together with France) the highest number of Romanesque buildings in Europe, and its number of castles is higher than France and Germany combined. Also Islamic architecture is medieval.

In Spain the difference between a town and a village is unclear. The word "pueblo" define both. The word "villa" would be the equivalent to town in English, but is now obsolete. In fact the most populous "villa" of Spain is Madrid , and two villas (Bilbao and Vigo) are among the most populous ports. On the contrary, Sigüenza is a "ciudad" (city).

There is also the concept of "agrociudad", used for those Andalusian cities whose inhabitants are mainly engaged in the primary sector, such as Ronda or Arcos de la Frontera. But the Spaniard people call them "pueblos".
