Who was the idiot to have the idea to put the Kunsthaus in such beautiful historical surroundings in Graz! TBH I think even the building is just too modernistic for me.. I prefer something more modest and sober, I just don't like those "over the top" buildings

.
I actually love it, no matter the history which surrounds it, it could even pass as an even older skyscraper.. it's one of the few iconic architectural style from those times IMO

For me the New 1 WTC in New York City. The U.S. government should have left the originals alone. The original World Trade Center towers were my favorite supertalls. A well designed simple box with a flat top and two of them. Solid to the top, no cheating spire and perfect interior space for offices.

Exactly. Frankly if you want to destroy a building because you don't like who built it, you are bigoted and ignorant (like all Russophobes). It's a nice piece of architecture and it's also a shame that they want to cover it.

This one disgusts me, especially when it comes to what was there before.

Certainly one of my "top hates" the tower is bad enough in that location but the base is positively hideous and depressing and sucks the life out of the surrounding area. How this monstrosity was allowed in that location is beyond comprehension. Time for it to go but if they wanted to put some freak in its place then better to wait for another time.

Actually considering its history, the building doesn't have anything positive going for it. It was a sign of russian dominance and I'm not surprised that almost everyone wanted it to be brought down.
Right now it's not only an eyesore (it wasn't cleaned in a long time, perhaps from the day it was completed) but a pretty bad building overall. Some of the interiors don't look good and urbanism is something unknown to the structure - there are parking lots all around it, stairs and empty parcels. If you're in Warsaw and don't plan on visiting the building, you might as well not come across it, because it's right in the centre, but you always just pass it by.

I see nothing tasteful. Just a cheap attempt to not be modernist and ends up a tacky overwide hunk. Really detracts from the beauty of the Woolworth and Chase Manhattan Plaza. Belongs more in Las Vegas.

Also that zebra building is just stupid.
Really? This is one of my favorites. I think the pyramidal top is a modern take of the tops of the Standard Oil building and 15 Broad Street.

I also think it compliments Chase Manhattan Plaza, 40 Wall and 70 Pine very well. 2 pointy spire like towers, one large rectangular building, and 60 Wall with a tall pyramidal shape.

I hate all buildings under 10 floors, much because of ideology

Fair enough. I personally like it better than the old WTC.

However I personally think it's a great building!

As for the Torre Montparnesse, considering it's sticking out like a saw thumb, I personally think it's an absolutely beautiful building!

Maybe because I'm a sucker for modernist and international style architecture!

Very uninspired design, stands out from other buildings and lots of really nice old buildings were demolished just so this abomination could be built

Why not brush it up and renovate it into a museum for Polish independence and overcoming Soviet-era Russian communist oppression ? Seems to me you could turn it into somewhat of a "war trophy" . Forgive me if I am wrong, as I am not professed with knowledge of the situation according with Poland. It does have some unique historical architecture at the least.
