Mimo wszystko efekt jest bardzo dobry. Może nie ikoniczny, ale naprawdę dobry.

I don't like that staircase on the side, it looks like scaffolding.

The architects, maybe, wanted to break the building's "cleanliness", but from my point of view, it's too big to be like a humoristic allusion, and too small (because it's only one of the small sides) to look like they really wanted to undertake it as a real concept.

(hope you will understand, my english isn't as it should be)

They totally ruined the building by doing that

A little piece of architecture: the Cadillac of Jozef Pilsudski, that was recently restored, has been placed near the Belweder Presidential Palace in Warsaw:

Is there a reason for those posts in the shape of the fascism symbol? (Fasces?)

Didn't even know this was fascist. And I even didn't notice the form, despite walking a few times on that stairs already (which are situated in the old building dating from the 19th century, which was renovated too during the modernisation). Maybe because the founder of the library was a conservative politician?

Quote:
Count Edward Raczyński, of the Nałęcz coat-of-arms (April 2, 1786 in Poznań – January 20, 1845 in Zaniemyśl) was a Polish conservative politician, protector of arts, founder of the Raczyński Library in Poznań.

There was no fascism yet when the library was established. It's ancient roman symbol that was at one point used by fascists, among many others.

You can see it on some coats of arms in Switzerland, and I suppose also in other countries.

By the way, I'll definitely visit Poland, modern architecture seems refreshing there.
