Yes but that is in the regional forum. I think it's okay to have another thread in the world forums.

There aren't many decent photos of the domestic terminal interior on the net.

Garuda adds Brisbane to network

Quote:
AIRLINE Garuda Indonesia says it will start services to Brisbane from next August.

Garuda on Tuesday said it would operate a Boeing 737-800 aircraft six times a week from Brisbane to Jakarta and Denpasar (Bali).

The airline currently serves three Australian ports - Melbourne, Sydney and Perth - and last flew to Brisbane five years ago.

Garuda Indonesia vice president for Australia and Southwest Pacific Bagus Siregar said passenger numbers between Australia and Indonesia had grown 20 per cent in the first half of calendar 2012.

"We have also seen a significant growth in demand in Queensland, particularly in the leisure sector," he said in a statement.

Garuda Indonesia president and chief executive Emirsyah Satar flagged further increases in its domestic and international network in the period ahead, given the airline was expected to add 24 new aircraft to its fleet in 2013.

Currently, Qantas's low-cost unit Jetstar and Virgin Australia fly between Brisbane and Denpasar.

Hawaiian boosts Brisbane

Quote:
Hawaiian Airlines will operate 18 extra Honolulu-Brisbane flights between March and May next year, in addition to its new scheduled services on the route, which gets underway next month.

The airline will commence its new Honolulu-Brisbane service from 28 November, departing every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Of the 18 additional flights, nine will operate in March, five in April and four in May. Most of the extra flights will operate on Mondays, which Hawaiian said would provide opportunities for “newlyweds, who can jet off to Hawaii for their honeymoons after weekend weddings in Australia”.

“Our decision to commence flights from Brisbane is in response to strong demand for additional flights from Australia, in particular from the Queensland market,” said Peter Ingram, Hawaiian’s chief commercial officer. “With additional aircraft capacity now becoming available between March and May, we have the added opportunity not only to increase the number of seats on the Brisbane route during this period, but also to explore some different schedule options for the future,” he added.

The introduction of scheduled flights from Brisbane will take to 10 the number of Hawaiian Airlines departures from Australia each week, with daily services from Sydney and three weekly flights from Brisbane. This is double the number of departures offered at the same time last year, when Hawaiian operated five flights per week from Sydney.

This article is about 3 weeks old, but it's great to see the forward bookings are strong.

Hawaiian eyes Brisbane boost

Quote:
Hawaiian Airlines has confirmed it will consider upping frequencies on its new Brisbane route “before long” on the back of strong demand, as the inaugural service took to the skies today.

The airline has already announced an additional 18 flights will operate on the three times weekly route between March and May. But chief executive Mark Dunkerley told Travel Today that a full-time increase is looking likely further down the line.

“This is as good a set of omens as we’ve seen for any new service, so we’ll be looking at increasing it before long,” he said. “When we have a good enough sense of the market we’ll look at increasing it.”

Dunkerley revealed Brisbane Airport has played a critical role in promoting the new service, with Hawaiian also advertising through traditional channels and working with Tourism Australia.

But “most importantly”, the carrier has been working closely with the Australian trade, which Dunkerley credited with the majority of Hawaiian’s local sales.

Although no additional Australian ports are likely to be added soon, Dunkerley said the airline is “always on the lookout” for new opportunities.

“But for now, Brisbane is our number one focus,” he added. Hawaiian will also introduce a new Auckland service in March.

Further network expansion is on the cards, Dunkerley revealed, but it may not take place in Asia Pacific.

“Over the next six months, we’re all about Australia and New Zealand,” he said. “But further into 2013, there are likely to be more destinations and some frequency enhancements. We’re just looking into where those are likely to be."

Additional services to the east coast of the US could be a possibility following the success of its new JFK service, he hinted.

Don't really get why in Australia the domestic and the international terminal are so separated. Is this on purpose to give passengers a hard time?
