From Buenos Aires - Argentina
1)Palacio Barolo (100mts) It's an office building that was built in 1923. It was inspired on Dante's Divine Comedy. The lighthouse has a truly important meaning: it tries to make a bridge of light between "Palacio Barolo" and "Palacio Salvo" (which is located in Uruguay). ![]() 2) Congreso de la nación It is the building of the National Congress. The lighting of the dome is original, 1906 ![]() 3) Planetario "Galileo Galilei" The building was completed in 1966. It is surrounded by a park that is used for concerts and recitals. Its LED lighting makes it look a UFO (excuse to publish a video, but it's funny) |

It's amazing how many people on 'SkyscraperCity' still manage to misunderstand the meaning of the word 'Skyscraper'. Nominating a tower is debatable, but is it just me or are people nominating stadiums, monuments, and even entire cities?
![]() Well anyway here goes my nominations! 1) Burj Al Arab, Dubai 2) Al Hamra Tower, Kuwait City 3) The Center, Hong Kong Flame Towers, Bank of China Tower and Empire State Building would have been getting my nominations but I'm fairly sure they've got enough already. Doha Tower is another honourable mention! |

The Flame Towers are pretty cool.
But...does one really want an image of a skyscraper going up in flames in the middle of your city?
