Casablanca is the latest addition in African tram systems. Thankfully, so-called dark-continent is now competing with many of the modern, environment-conscious cities, and Casablanca can proudly say that they are now running a trendy tram network with high speed and smart designed tram system.

I heard Casablanca is also planning a metro system. Is it right? Has the construction started?

No start before some years. One speaks about an elevated metro line. 15 km, around 31 stations.
Here a maps posted by jdb.2 in Morroco SSC :

So metro is uncertain? Very bad news.

Please try to answer these -
1) Reserved or unreserved - which type of track layout is common in Casablanca tramway network?
2) Which is the busiest tram terminus?
3) Which termini have interchange facility with suburban rail network?
4) Where is/are the depot(s) of the tramway network?

2) No idea
3) S31 Gare de l'oasis . there is also an interchange with the national train network at in S17 Casa voyageurs (See first post from OP)
4) S03 Sidi Moumen

2) Busiest stations are Place des Nations Unies in inner city and Ain Diab terminus (T1N for T1 North).

3) Casa Voyageur S17 interchange. The station will have important works for host TGV in 2015.

S37 Casa Sud will host a terminus TGV station in next decade.

Texas is a very rich country.
Can you help, giving to Casablanca one or two billion dollars, please ?

Yes, I have it right here in my back pocket.

Wasn't a metro for Casablanca started in the 1970's or 80s?

An aerial metro of 15km will start building soon as they are in their final studies now.it will be followed with an RER line with few underground stations right after

There was indeed a project to build a metro in the 80's but a costly war and the IMF passed by at that time.

In the pictures above it looks like the tram at the back has a different cab to the one at the front. I thought Casablanca just ordered a bunch of Citadis - are there more than one type of tram here now?

This model of citadis with just one driver cab run always twinned with an another similar citadis. Total length is 65 meters, capacity approximatively 500 pax
Same vehicles are used in Rabat (Morroco) and Tunis (Tunisia).
