Also, only 55 floors for 300m? Was hoping for a spire but the design would indicate very high floors

China isn't only copying the world, they even copy blgs of their own cities :-P
and this is not the first time that they do so...

If it is really from Pelli, then he probably ran out of ideas

LOL those buildings are mostly designed by foreign architechts, so actually they're copying, not "China".
Pelli ran out of ideas a long time ago. His projects are only variations of his older ones.

i am pretty sure people in Nantong have seen skyline photos of HK, considering the amount of commercials and advertisements i saw while i was on mainland china that featured pictures of HK.
