I have to say I particularly like the look of Belgian cities. The one's I've seen pictures of anyway!

Thank you Jane. I always have the impression that British and belgian cities have a lot in common. Like the enormous diversity in architecture, sometimes in one single street, and some pretty urban chaos.

I suppose there are those abstract similarities but I don't think the two countries feel or look very similar. Certainly in the handful of places I have encountered in recent years which consist of more than just a main road (Antwerpen, Poperinge and Ieper) there feels to be a lot more life on the streets. Also I find that it's a country which possesses some very beautiful streetscapes and some mindlessly desecrated ones, in a different way to those in Britain I think, and it affects residential areas just as much as city centres. You can often find both in the same city or even the same street. Not something we've really seen in this thread yet, but it's not to everyone's taste I think.

Interesting that you started in Zurenborg, you certainly captured its grandeur. I'm glad I encountered it when I was in Antwerpen, it's certainly a pleasant surprise.

I don't know enough about British cities, I only visited a gew.... 25 years ago. But I see some similarities on the photothreads passing here. So I suppose you're analysis is more correct than mine. Thanks for that.
