#PROJECT: Fairmont Hotel & Serviced Apartments

I was wondering why they were digging up the road and parking lots on the sides and behind Marina Mall. So more people on this peninsula with only one way in and out - Just like the Al Ras Al Akhdar neighborhood. When will AD learn .

The ‘Fairmont Hotel & Serviced Apartments’ project is a hospitality and residential development comprised of a Five Star Hotel Resort as well as serviced and unfurnished apartments. The project is located at a very prime precinct of Abu Dhabi breakwater, adjacent to Marina Mall, occupying an overall area of approximately 160,000 sq.m with an extensive Beach Frontage. Architecturally, there shall be two symmetrical towers with 45 level maximum height. The development also includes a vast landscaped area and ancillary facilities such as food & beverage outlets, outdoor recreational sports facilities, soccer pitch and swimming pool.

Some renders here.

What an ugly out of place building. It won't look so luxury stuck next to marina mall which is dated and badly designed.

Oh no! Awful. A quick look at the consultant sign board will scare away anyone with aspirations of design excellence. Utterly shameful. I feel ill, time to go and lie down.

Marina Mall on Abu Dhabi's breakwater. Arabtec developed the mall and is set to build the 39-floor Fairmont hotel close by. Sarah Dea / The National

why the .... are they allowing something like that to be built?

It's just horrible, unbelievably ugly and out of place!

Such a shame for AD!

I think I might be the only one that likes it. It would look better if it were taller but it looks really nice to me, maybe I'm not seeing the same picture?
