basically their business "kickstarted" with the looting of Iraq in 2003... and following that they laundered money for the various baathis and jash types from Iraq and then advertised themselves as the "safe haven" of Iraq and get both foreigners and Iraqis to go there...
It has nothing to do with the looting. It is not the fault of the KRG that investors are going there. Should they forbid it them,? Also, the investment law of Kurdistan is better than the Iraqi one for investors.
The business kick started with the start of the legal trade with the neighboring countries and the investments.
what "investors"... 90% is Iraqi money directly or stolen or laundered... trying to "gentrify" the hawasim... would love to hear about europeans "investing".
