Yeah you don't want a dead forum so a Doha project sub section and general qatar sub section is enough in my opinion

Dear All,

Sorry for the late feedback as I was on Eid break!

What I would suggest is:

- West Bay (Dafnah) Towers thread --> to be kept as it is
- Doha Projects and Beyond --> to be kept as it is (its spirit remains a general thread for Doha and its suburbs developments). Other towns are anyway more than mininal!
- Lusail Development --> new section to be created, we can create enough threads already for this section (around 20 existing projects), quantity will increase fast as there is a clear willingness from government to speed up development on this project.
- Photo Galleries --> I don't see the need for this section. It will be more relevant if pics are directly posted in dedicated threads rather in a general photography thread. There are exceptions however, with nice photo threads (Aerial pic, National Day) which can simply be re-routed to Sky Lewaan.
- Completed Projects --> Obviously, to be kept!
- Sky Lewaaan --> to be merged with Qatar's News Cafe
- Qatar's News Cafe --> to be merged with Sky Lewaan.

This leaves us with 5 threads:
- West Bay projects
- Doha projects and beyond
- Lusail development
- Completed projects
- Sky Lewaan

Let me know your feedback so that I push the request by the top moderator.

Hey Missilia im thinking not to make too many sections so the section dont become dead i think that Doha section is enough for west bay towers and doha projects it self there should be a new sub section called general qatar as it means the rest of the state do you know what i mean with sub-sections and bar btw because you dont seem to get me here

Check the Ethiopian forum to know more the sub sextion there is Addis Ababa and General Ethiopia the section is apperently projects and construction and also the bar which is only for showing

So............. a section for Projects and Construction and a bar too and Sub-section for Doha and one for General Qatar

than a photo gallery bar and Qatar Photo gallery section

last thing off topic bar and Sky lewaan as a section

that is enough organised appealing and doesn't make the thread looks dead

If your point is to create general sections (such as project and construction), and then sub-sections, why not, I'm open it, it makes it more visible indeed However I don't agree on your sub-sections. You can make a thread for Doha, and one for the rest of the country. It means the first section has 95% of posts, the second one 5%, and then, nobody will even update the 5%. That's a reality, sorry. You will end up creating the dead section you were mentioning.

lool how come didnt you guys say Lusail and alwakra and alsaad and the rest arent in Doha and they have many projects the general Qatar would make them all in one section instead of making one for Lusail as a city when it only have like 4 projects or so get it ? General qatar is about posting every project that isnt in Doha region that will make it pretty active

Al Sadd (السد not Alsaad) has never been a city. It's one of Doha's neighborhoods. Are you living in Doha?

Alright, so please let the people living in Doha and knowing the realities of this city handle the forum! I've been living here for 7 years now. Trust me, there is no point for creating a section for projects in Al Wakra or in Al Khor. Second moderator Halawala, will for sure agree with me on that. However I agree there is some potential for re-organization on the Qatar forum, I like the idea of top sections with sub-sections for construction projects, it would make it quite relevant for Qatar.

I'm also worried about dead sections. but posting Alwakrah master plan thread in Doha section for example seems ridiculous to me. it might be better to rename it, just a thought.

removing Photo Galleries section is fine too. We don't really need a section for Galleries.

my suggestion is to even go further and remove Sky lewan and news, we can use the main Qatar forum. it is there and being used for the same purpose.

Question, why don't we keep the completed projects in their sections ? is there some rule here or is it for organizing ?

There are 2 off topic sections which are the cafe and sky lewaan and one is enough and should be named something attached to Qatar sky lewaan is good about e gallery section it most be kwpt as its a baaic section in every forum and about the completed projects section I see there is no use for it because it become dead easily so putting all doha projects including west bay is a good idea for avoiding that and there should be a news and transport and infrustructure secrion but i don't know if its going to be active enough

what I am saying is in my opinion I dont think there is a need for west bay projects section and completed projects section they are distracting plus they sometimes become dead so a Doha projects section will take the both west bay and the completed projects section so the section will be more active i hope you got me now

I think we should keep the West Bay section separate, there are still quite a few projects there.
However we can create a Lusail section, the site administrator told me there is no issue with that. So, let's do it?
