Delhi Aerocity | 250 acres | U/C
Sandwiched between the Airport and the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway (NH8), the Delhi Aerocity/Aerotropolis is an upcoming mixed use development of ≈20 million sq.ft. on a 250 acre site. The Masterplan was developed by RMJM architects and currently the first phase is U/C.
Masterplan Layout  view on google maps  Phase 1 - involves the development of 14 plots called 'assets' over 45 acres  Out of all of these plots called 'assets', only Bharti's Worldmark project (on assets#7,8,11) is geared for commercial, retail and leisure use. The rest are all hospitality with some of them also having residential and/or retail development. Projects by asset number - 1 - Hyatt Andaz Hotel - 323 rooms + 140 residential apartments -- Designed by BauerLatoza Studio   2 - Pullman + Novotel Hotels - 270 & 410 rooms respectively Pullman  Novotel  3 - MGM Hotel - 500+ rooms    model:  4 - JW Marriot Hotel - 500+ rooms -- designed by CP Kukreja architects   5A - Pride Hotel -no render- 5B - Aloft Hotel -no render- 6 - Lemon Tree + Red Fox Hotels Lemon Tree - 280 rooms  Red Fox - 211 rooms -no render- 7,8,11 - Worldmark - Retail + Commercial - more renders here    9 - Ibis Hotel - 465 rooms -no render- 10 - Dusit D2 Hotel - 230 rooms   12 - Holiday Inn Hotel  13 - Convention Center

So at last count following hotels are coming up at Delhi Airport Hospitality District :
1. Andaz 2. Marriott 2. Pullman 4. Novotel 5. Lemontree 6. Ibis I know there are some other like MGM, Pride etc. that are planned but has construction started ? Also when are the above hotels getting ready ? |

At Aerocity following will open this year:
Ibis (Ready, already hired staff) Lemon Tree (By year end. Started management recruitment) JW Marriott (By year end. Starting recruitment in april. Facade is ready, windows are up, stone cladding is in process. Windows up means interiors will start soon) Accor (It could be Pullman or Novotel, not both, I think so. Probability of this being a Novotel is much higher. The Facade is ready, window work should be starting soon. Guess this would open early next year) Pride - If I am correct with the location, Pride or Red Fox, the facade is ready and they should open early next year. Hyatt Andaz has just started the construction. Will Open only in end of 2013. 2014 would be more likely. MGM Grand, I did not notice any construction as yet, guess this would be the last one. Retail cum conferenc space for Bharti would also start construction and would be ready by 2014 only |
