Rail transport in ECOWAS
We need a thread for rail transport in ECOWAS. There seems to be a revival of railways in Africa but as of now not in the west.
Are there any trains running at all on the Dakar-Niger railway for example? A report from July 2012 says only local trains are running but they might have been dropped too: http://www.theafricareport.com/socie...-survival.html. Guinea has local rail transport around the capital Conakry but not much more. Is the train between Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso and Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire still running? |

Altough it's an impressive map you're presenting GAR3TH the truth it that very little work is actually beeing done. Large parts of the network are in disrepair and there seems to be little progress. I'm glad that commuter trains are running, I think they're doing that in Conakry too. But what about inter-city and long-distance trains?
