Wishful thinking this will be approved/built ? Fingers & toes crossed this gets built. Alot of negetive comments about the design but IMO not bad at all...GO MELBOURNE

The middle bit is rather weird but it still is a beautiful tower in my opinion

I reckon the design grows on you.

At first i really didnt like the 'star' obervsation deck part.

My first inclination was to get rid of the star as a previous poster did and removed it, but now I think the star adds to the uniqueness of the deisgn.

I dont mind the design as it is now and I think it will be a good addition to our skyline.

However Im sure the design will change before it gets built - If it gets built.
Its a big 'If' i reckon.

I really can't see why there's so much negative feeling on this design but I gues to each their own. I wasn't sure about it at the start but I'm really 'warming' to it. Really hope it gets off the ground so to speak.

agreed. That being said, I wouldn't mind a few tweeks done. What are the odds that the design will change, even a little?

This was Eureka during its second trimester of gestation. That said I'd say the chances of a redesign are pretty close to nil. The sky lobby star burst feature is a reference to the star of federation on the Australian flag. You could say the spire is probably insurance against what happened to Eureka when it never became the official worlds tallest residential building but the star bar at 350 metres high is supported by the spire at level 108. It will be a small observatory like level 102 in the Empire State Building. The simplicity of the rest of the building makes it cheap and quick to build.
