No updates on this one at all? It's a spectacular project, but I've found nothing more on it so I'm guessing it was cancelled? Possibly a bit too ambitious?

It's definitely not cancelled, here's an update from the local thread. The area has been cleared and it looks like they're on road-construction stage.
