Anyways, about the petition thingy, I believe the Civil War settled the issue about whether or not states have a right to succeed .
No, it did not. This is a common misconception.

That said, it is not unreasonable to assume that the rabid nationalists will come after the secessionists, like they did last time.

In Charlotte's county, Mecklenburg, Obama won by 300,000. At the same time, GOP Mayor Pat McCrory won Mecklenburg by over 2,000 votes. That's over 300,000 people in Charlotte alone that split their ticket Obama/GOP Gov.

That doesn't sound like a state that wants to succeed.

Besides, over 50% of people who voted voted for Obama.

Your Picture is the CLASSIC example of Figures lie and liars figure. I'm not saying you did, but its very easy for someone to paint that with this picture

And besides. The rednecks wearing their little john deer outfits are to fat, lazy, and worried about twinkies to get up and revolt. And what are they going to do? In NC, for example, Democrats have a strangle on Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and Asheville. What would NC be without these states? A lot of the suburban counties would die without CLT/RDU/GSO/AVL

These suburban people are so lazy and always want Urban people to pay for stuff. Charlotte Knights are in Fort Mill... Charlotte Motor Speedway is in Concord. Charlotte pays for companies to relocate here and someone from Moorseville takes the job. But GOD FORBID they pay Charlotte/Meck taxes!

Yes, we've already discussed why the various maps, and the arguments that both Republicans and Democrats are using, are highly suspect. For example, one could argue that "If the GOP couldn't hang onto VA ...", but you could also argue that a weak Republican candidate increased vote share, in reliably blue states, whereas Obama's vote share declined in reliably red states.

The untold story of the election is that voter apathy is increasing not only in the US, but all over the West (I consider this a form of secession), and that Obama merely did a 'less bad' job of turning out his base than did the GOP.

The fascinating thing about NC is not so much the Republican landslide, on the state level, but the fact that the libertarian candidate for governor got 2.1% of the vote, almost unheard of.

I know that rich white women were deathly afraid that a President Romney would commandeer their lady parts.

There was a county in south Florida that had 120,000 registered voters. On election day 190,000 people voted in that county overwhelmingly for Obama.

Seems very fishy to me and knowing Obama's shady past...Obama care= stating it's not a tax even though its the largest tax in US history, back room handshakes, trying to pass parts of the bill at 2 AM in the morning
Terrorists attacks on Benghazi= For weeks Obama blamed the attacks on a youtube video when it was clearly a terrorist attack, denied aid to the victims during the attack.

It would not surprise me one bid if voter fraud took place across the country based on the last four years.

If by 'union is secure' you mean secession isn't likely to happen, you're almost certainly correct. But Americans have only ever been united in name only. Even Thomas Jefferson acknowledged an incorrigible Northern-Southern divide.

Americans weren't even untied during the Revolutionary War, which was less a revolution than a civil war (wherein the Civil War wasn't really a civil war).

You sir are what's wrong with the GOP and conservatives in America. You're so detached from reality that it's almost scary.

Right wing blogs have tried to spread this rumor of Obama winning more votes than registered voters in an Ohio county too, it's bullshit. Stop believing everything you hear or read, man. There's people in your own party calling you stupid right now, and they're right!
The GOP needs to stop being the stupid party, come closer to the facts and reality. Stop buying into the conspiracies and loony stories.

Not that he is but you are correct. We don't take too kindly to idiots in our party. You guys should try to call out the folks diminishing your brand too.

McCain IS in your party. That's rather my whole point, d'uh!

And who are these 'you guys' you're talking about ? I don't support either party, partly because they're the same. Obama = McCain; Obama = Romney.

And thus, your solution is what?

Those petitions will led to nothing. They're just a bunch of racists that are mad because of Obama's victory.

True, very much like the bigots who made those Jesusland maps after Bush's reelection in 2004.
