Even poor countries/cities in asia or south america can build tons of buildings like that but there are only very few cities in the world that can erect quality buildings like the iconic gherkin or cheesegrater.. Cya

No, the difference between London and others european cities's skyscrapers is that others capital didn't wait the end of the XXth century to build higher than 3 stories ... This is why londonian skyscrapers look more modern.

Not sure if this is just trolling or partially really your opinion (which is fine of course).. However, every city has its share of nice and not so nice buildings and while we agree that in London we have seen quite a lot of new recent towers with very beautiful designs/materials (regarding quantity defo #1 in EU), the amount of older and awful stuff, like Guy's Hospital/countless commie block towers in the periphery of London's clusters, is also higher than in other EU cities.

Did u know that the guys hospital in london is the tallest hospital in the world. Its now being recladded by the way. There was another hideous tower situated next to it but it was knocked down. By the owner of the mighty shard which is the first supertall and the highest building in eu, plus its worth more than $4billion and its now ranked the most expensive building as well. Mate i wasnt surprised wben it defeated all the other finest towers of frankfurt, paris and many other rival cities.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see all these nice pictures of the London's skyline.
I wasn't aware they had skyscrapers over there, except from Big Ben of course.
Though it's still not on par with the great European skylines of Frankfurt, Paris, Moscow or Milan, but it's quite cute.

It's cool to see London joining the European skyscrapers race.

Frankfurt or London. I think both cities have a large number of iconic skyscraper, more than in the rest of Europe. Both Frankfurt and London have their own distinctive look. And can not really compete together in this regard.

All the entire massive middle section of the mighty shard has already been occupied by Shangri-La hotel, oh theres also a huge swimming pool inside the shard's belly. The top sections of the Shard are now being sold to international tycoons, arab, russian and chinese billionaires. the price starts from 50 or 70 million dollar and it goes higher depends on decoration and facilities in tbe rooms. But those are not as expensive as One Hyde Park, London which prices start from 250 million dollar per apartment.
