I'm liking that they're bulking the Moscow cbd skyline out with some smaller buildings. Should really help make it look more natural and developed. That twisting tower especially is looking great.

Nope, there's another 40 metres to come before topping out. Once completed, Majunga will look like this:

That towers are in inner Paris or outside Paris, I don't see a difference.
Quite the reverse, to build towers out of the historic center of Paris make that Paris is a unique city.
why always built skyscrapers in the center of a city ? why not outside ?
the architect PEI said, to built towers in the center of american or australian cities is not a problem, because there is nothing to preserve in this cities...... but in Europe with their hiistoric centers....
La Defense is a magnificent complex of architecture and superb showcase of excellent urban planing, it's my favorite part of Paris (yes Paris)....The only problem with it is that nice view is really spoiled with the complex of Graveyards which occupy the whole of the other side. It's a little bit scary when you walk along the whole Esplanade De La Defense and suddenly when you cross trough Le Grande Arche find this not so pleasant revelation. I think that the location for the La Defense was not the best idea, other than that it's superb!

Don't worry SturmBeobachter, the atmosphere will be less gloomy with the Arena 92 project opposite the Graveyards and many other projects planned in the area...

la defense looks good in photos but it desperately needs to build world class iconic skyscrapers.

i wasn't impressed by the height of those towers, architecture, designs and atmosphere of this business district when i actually set my feet in the middle of it.

It will follow by another tower of 296m.

About the only thing people know about Vladivostock is that it's a long way away.

Hardly anyone would be able to recognise it, Sochi or Kazan.

Sochi is more known because of the winter olympics, but as a city it doesn't even register.

The reality is that there are surprisingly few cities worldwide recognisable to even a tiny percent of the world's population - even some pretty well known cities.

Who (sports stadiums aside) would really be able to recognise the skylines of Sao Paulo, Manchester, San Diego, Perth, Osaka, Oslo, Calcutta, Durban, ...

People who've been there, are have an interest in those cities, but very few others.

Sochi, Kazan and Vladivostock? Not a chance.

The highest tower in western Europe, the Millennium Tower in Frankfurt (at least 350m) is still planned.
