Frankfurter Stadthöfe 230 Meter Proposed
I like boxy Towers. Could be a great fill up for the Frankfurter Skyline. More density would be nice.

Bingo.

If someone had never seen Paris before - they would be lured to la Defense - thinking it was the centre - only to find it's 18:15 and everyone has clocked off and gone home.

I have lived in London for 23 years. London is not superior, its a bit scattered - but - it's ok.

I never said it was. I just like its simple up and down tidy skyline peaking in the middle.

I was born in Nottingham UK (land of Robin Hood
Now you are arguing with a reason(other than "it's not us-like"). Thank you. Finally, we are getting somewhere. I agree. And I am sorry for thinking you are polish. Yes, london is scattered but great and warsaw is also great but still i am glad it is a european and not US.
I recently visited la defense in sunday and it was not dead, however, there was nothing to do for a foreigner, there was the mall opened and some cafes, some people dancing beneath le grand arche and towers was pretty dead. It was obvious that it is a business district. The esplanade was not completely dead, just... calm and looked like a great place for locals to relax because there was wifi and relative calm. But I had a bad feeling from it when I saw a maybe kidnapped and mafia-abused crying arabic family in one of the deserted entrances to the metro hiding from the public. Kinda felt bad for both them and their victims becuse they looked like pickpokets. It looked like a center, but not like Cité with lots of tourists and disneyladish feeling, but a local feeling. Back then they did not organise any concert there although it was a music summer in the other parts of the city which felt like its a pitty. It is not completely dead after 18:00 too, but I guess it does not fulfill the definition of a city center for you I guess, there is almost nothing to do for a tourist after the towers close, and there is really nothing to do in the middle of the night althoug it is arguable if it is and it is safe in anoter parts of the city. What I am trying to say is that my opinion have changed(maybe because of the stroke I had last month, but recovered well, however my view of the life has changed a little) and I say that yes, it is not the city center and whatever, but it is certainly not a suburb or outskirts, it is the broader center, as we call it, a place that is a part of a city but is not a tourist attraction and is center of life for locals. Or a city center of a suburb if you insist, whatever you wish, but some people woud disagree. I still think Paris looks great but also that she is uncomparable with US cities, like the prototype of an european city and does not look odd but is different and it is great.

From an Asian perspective:

To me, number of buildings doesn't really matter in determining what are the best skylines in Europe. It's on how and where the skyscrapers being built with response to setting. Waterfront skylines, as well as those within the green jungle (I mean, it's not all about concrete and steel, there shall be green open spaces and central parks), especially if glassy are the best... And last but not the least, the architectural diversity of buildings is important. It doesn't really matter if it's not a supertall as long as the design is a head-turner. I like glassy buildings though. It contributes to the skyline's vibrancy.

So close to Commerzbank, it somehow manages to dwarf that tower, even though Commerzbank is the highest scraper in Frankfurt (with antenna 301m).

Since you're absolutely right. I was shocked when I first saw the design. Elsewhere, the tower would have been much better please me. (e.g. near Skyper) And the "Große Gallusstraße" will disappear forever in shade.

Frankfurt (best european skyline to me), needs more iconic skyscrapers, not boxes...

ROTTERDAM (not many mid and high rises on this photo, but certainly interesting because of the progress you can see of the Market Hall)

...GREAT opportunity to illustrate that fact that central Warsaw has not yet been rebuilt after 100% distruction during WWII/communist retardship - and is the only
city in Europe with so much central land available for new skyscrapers. This whole empty bombed-out central square and surrounding area is due very soon to begin
rebuilding with many skyscrapers and other smaller buildings. The fact is Warsaw's already cool central skyline has not even begun. Something to look forward to.
Thank you Cujas for showing this "you hero" (even though I'm not sure what your point was of an aerial - 'looking down' picture in 'skyline' forum)
