I love how so many people are arguing so furiously over such insignificant skylines in this thread. These cities are wonderful cities, but their skylines just arent in the same league as many skylines in North America and Asia.

Agree with Archaen

I'd say

1 Moscow
2 London
3 Istanbul
4 Paris
5 Frankfurt
6 Warsaw
7 Madrid
8 Milan
9 Vienna
10 Barcelona

After #5, I'm really reaching to even think of European skylines

This thread is 90% London or Rotterdam. After the 50,000th pic of the Gherkhin or that white bridge in Rotterdam, I wanna pull my hair out.

It's rather subjective. A skyline is not only made by skyscrapers. European capitals, like Prague, Rome, Stockholm. etc have amazing skylines made by historical and modern buildings, even without skyscrapers.

If we choose here to stick to pure skyscrapers skylines, then again, we can talk about quality of buildings, integration with the rest of the city, and so on.

Of course Hong Kong, Singapore, or New York will always look more impressive than all European skylines in terms of sheer amount of towers.

But how much does -for instance- St Paul's Cathedral Dome count within the City of London skyline?

How appealing is seeing the Milan's Duomo spire next to modern highrises in Milan? Or the Stephandsom in Vienna?

How cool is it walking in Roemerberg Platz, an historical square in Frankfurt, with the skyscrapers in the background?

Congratulations, I saw it in the London projects and construction thread, 237m .

So Warsaw will only have still 2-3 years the title of having it with the 192m high Zlota 44 .

Fireworks for the Polish Independence Day, November 11th

Sorry for this is not (yet ) one of the best European skylines - before the crisis there was a plan to build a 285m high tower, now in the following years 4-5 towers will be build -. I post it because it's a great picture, something else than Rotterdam and London and of course because it is my city
