Istanbul - 83 is only T/O, U/C and Prep buildings, I can count the approved and proposed ones and post it later.

If you are going to correct another person in this forum, then please do it right...unless you are new to this thread, you should know that the moderators a loooong tome ago decided that Yekaterinburg in SSC belongs in this thread. Do your homework before making a statement.

^ Since in fact Yekaterinburg is located in Asia, you'll always have the issue with people complaining about it (personally I have changed my position on this, feel free to post pics of any city here..). You can't expect everyone who is new here (or maybe visiting the thread only occasionally) to scroll through the whole thread...

Just my two cents..

You are right, but instead of making a statement about Yekaterinburg not belonging in this thread, he should just have asked us others forumers, if Yekaterinburg belongs in this thread

Hey Aaurhusforever, I have one and very simple question. There is a new CBD being built in Izmir. Izmir is an ancient Greek city now located in western Turkey. It is located in Asia according to Euro centric sources. On the other hand, Turkey is placed under Euro sub forum. I will want to post Izmir's skyline soon. Am I supposed to post pictures of Izmir to Asian forum with Mumbai, Karachi, Seoul, Tokio? Could this be any more weird considering that Izmir culturally, geographically and ethnically entirely European as most of Turkey is except for the Kurdish part? I believe we all know that Europe is a made up continent. If Europe is a continent, then the Middle East and India are continents too. I personally believe these are all just peninsulas and geographically not continent but I am not gonna get in there.

My question is "Are you really asking me to post pictures of Izmir and Bodrum to Asian forum?" Posting pictures of Ephesus on the same page with Tokio and Pattaya would be soooooo weird. I think they wouldn't even let me to post there. Turkey and Russia, let's disappear from this planet and make everyone happy. No one wants us.

We have to be strict about geographic boundaries just to maintain order.

Dear mod, I know you are American and I know how Americans view Europe but you are so wrong, if you ask me. I am not asking for permission to post pictures of Nepal here. Cyprus, Turkey, Russia, Malta are TOTALLY European and they are placed under Euro subforum in this website for a reason as in other websites world wide. Since Turkey is under Euro subforum, I have no choice but post here. Turkey is not in the Asian sub-forum. I technically can't post there. Turkey, Malta and Cyprus are members of the European Council. If you check, for example, CNN.com or BBC.com, you will see news from these countries under the European sub-section. All these countries are members of UEFA, European Olympic Committees etc. There is literally nothing Asian about Turkey, Cyprus, most of Russia and Malta. Western civilization was created in western Anatolia for God's sake!

Can I post pictures of Cyprus? It is a member of the EU and yet completely located in Asia according to Euro centric sources. But we all know the people from Cyprus are Greeks and Turks and they are obviously European and Cyprus is European and is placed in the Euro sub forum.

Of course same goes for Malta. Am I supposed to post pictures of Malta to the African forum? By the way I don't mean to hijack the thread. You can PM me if you would like.

I believe this is the true Europe, culturally, ethnically and geographically.

And here, scientifically you can see the real borders of the real continents. As you see Europe is not even a separated plate. If we wanna devide Asia and create made up continents, we should first say that the Middle East and India are continents. They at least have their separated plates. You can't divide earth based on little rivers, straits and mountains. It is far more complicated geographically.

Europe is scientifically not a continent and it does not have real geographical borders. However, it is an ethnic and cultural union of people of the Western Eurasian continent. Scientifically proven.

Anyways, I don't mean to offend anyone or be annoying. I know this is not the place for this but seems like things had be cleared up because even a lot of fellow European friends are very confused about this.

By the way, I am very proud of Milan. It's been getting more awesome everyday. My girlfriend is Italian and she is from Milan. I am going to visit the city this summer and I can't wait to take some pictures of its skyline myself.

It's my call still no matter how you slice it! And my God people, do we have to post every skyline on the planet when we're trying to sort out the best?

Dear Quantum, I feel the need of reminding you that I am not a child that needs to be disciplined by internet mods. Please treat people with respect if you want to be respected.

No, it is not your call to divide countries in half and decide where continents start and finish. We have geologists for that. I am not going to post pictures of two major European skylines, Moscow and Istanbul if you don't want me to post Izmir's pictures here. Please arrange a conversation with super mods and place Turkey, Cyprus, Malta and Russia in the Asian forum. I can't post half of the country here and half of the country in the Asian forum along with the pictures of Bangladesh. This is a friendly advice from someone who is as young as to be your grandson.

Respectfully yours.

It is certainly my job to look at a map and decide what's what, which is what I do, so if people want to keep arguing with me like children, what do they expect?
