The funny thing here some tried to dispute if Ekatrinberg is in Europe or in Asia and the very people ranked Istanbul (Asian) as one of the best in europe

Istanbul is the half of the European continent, while Ekaterinburg east of the Urals, that is not in Europe.

Because that is common knowledge and what everyone is taught in school (or may be not in case of some forumers...)!

Quote from Wikipedia:
Quote:
The problem of redefining Europe was finally resolved in 1730 when, instead of waterways, the Swedish geographer and cartographer von Strahlenberg proposed the Ural Mountains as the most significant eastern boundary, a suggestion that found favour in Russia and throughout Europe.
Europe is now generally defined by geographers as the westernmost peninsula of Eurasia, with its boundaries marked by large bodies of water to the north, west and south; Europe's limits to the far east are usually taken to be the Urals, the Ural River, and the Caspian Sea; to the south-east, including the Caucasus Mountains, the Black Sea and the waterways connecting the Black Sea to the Mediterranean Sea.[
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europe

Everything east of the Ural mountains (like Yekaterinburg) is Asia. That's a fact, get over it!

Istanbul however lies to one half in Europe, so the European half can be showcased here.

Top five in Europe...

1 London ( it's by far the biggest city in Europe and this reflects in it's sprawling skyline)

2 Paris ( La defense is uber impressive. Paris was'nt bombed in the 1940's unlike Berlin and London.. it's been preserved. )

3 Istanbul ( It's just there. Massive city , culturally and historically enormously significant. Massive city on the move.. with a gorgeous skyline)

4 Moscow ( See above )

5 Frankfurk ( Uber American looking pretty smallish sized city in comparison to the above ... in the heart of Germany geographically and financially.. But it's captured this site's heart lol )

Whoever start or participate in debating again who and where the city should be allowed in this thread will get infraction. I've already said that we are adopting Ekatrinberg as an euorpean city. Thats it and no more arguing please, thank you!

Novosibirsk

I think Novosibirsk looks more modern than Birmingham and it's quite close to Rotterdam in terms of look!

Istanbul does have a great dynamic, but the skyscrapers are spread far beyond the city and do not give a total picture. I think density Skylines as La Defence is still better than wild scattered.
