They are already doing land fill and it seems they are 90% done ... good thing there are still spaces left in the riverside which could be turned into a promenade/garden ... and they even put the railway in the pic, hehe.

thanks for the updates Chymera. Tani tuluy-tuloy na ang development sang business district nga ini sa sulod sa LaPaz. Isn't is nga ang business district nga ini was rumoured run by Ayala Group? Per accdg kay daks, ilonggo-Chinese daw ang developer niya. Well, guess the biggest Ilonggo-Chinese developer in the city is Uygongco.

Btw; Ateneo de Iloilo campus in Diversion Area remains a dream for all. Wala pa sila ga-start patindog sa building nila. Ateneo de Iloilo near UI is overcrowded na. They really need to fasttrack the construction of their new campus. In few years time, Iloilo City will see a dawn of hosting 10 universities with Western Visayas College of Science and Technology and Iloilo Doctor's College application for universityhood still pending in CHED.

I've no concrete idea, adelro. It's just a fair guess. Besides, Uygonco'c are into real estate properties development in Iloilo City as well. But it's nice if it's Chusuey. I'm just wond'ring what estate company Chusuey's have in Iloilo City? Really, I want to see more developments or plan for development in this side of town. Thanks for the info anyway.

I agree with you @Space. I haven't heard Mr. Chusuey as a land developer. I can always associate him with other corporate or management matters though I know he owns one hotel in Boracay. But anyway, whoever between the two (Chusuey or Uygongco) is the developer of the new business district in LaPaz have definitely had brilliant idea to transform this piece of land into a corporate haven.

I'll keep my vote for the meantime. The pre-bidding was done already. So, we're just awaiting the bidding proper this coming March. It's a good move then.

That's why it's getting more and more exciting everyday. I think everyone's looking forward for the opening of the new Iloilo Airport. It surely is one of the best thing to happen in Iloilo.
