Well this is a really good competition - I love all of the skyscrapers. It's really cool how each design is unique. I think the SSC community could rival the finest design studios with its diversity and creativity.
It would be great if we could have more of these contests

THE EQUATOR - FINALIST of SKYSCRAPER DESIGN COMPETITION 2012
      The last pic is an atrium located at the highest floor that include a skybar, skylounge and observatory features. Technical Details Former Name: The Equator Architectural Height: 269.4 m Top Floor: 253.7 m Observatory: 249.7 m Floor Count: 62 Floors (including 6 mechanical floors) Gross Floor Area: 180,000 m² Daylight Harvesting This tower is specialized to be located at the equator of the earth. The sun is located directly above the tower at noon. All floors in this tower receives natural sunlight during the day. The atrium at the top of the tower will receive direct sunlight from sunrise until sunset. At noon, the sunlight that is located at 90° above the tower will be reflected by the curved specular-surfaced reflectors (sculptures) that are located at the west and east side of the tower to reflect the sunlight to each floor in the tower.
