Middelburg is generally a very interesting place when it comes down to historic landmarks. It's a very little known fact, not only in Europe, but also in the Netherlands itself, but Middelburg was nearly wiped off from the face of the earth during the WW2. It only shows a very different post-war approach compared to Rotterdam. Below some pictures of Middelburg after 1940 bombings:

A beautiful example of a Brick Gothic town gate is the Uenglinger Gate (Uenglinger Tor) in the town of Stendal, Germany:

Not to mention it is very close to Gothic architecture

Just a revived and more contemporary version

Nonetheless, this thread is designated for Gothic architecture from the Middle Ages.

There is an extra thread for Gothic Revival architecture: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1639563

Back to gothic then.

Mariakyrkan, Sigtuna

Sigtuna was during the early medieval period Sweden's cultural and religious centre. The church was built by the Dominican order, and is the country's only Dominican church still standing.

Knivsta gamla kyrka, Knivsta

A parish church not far from Sigtuna. Almost a bit too dull considering the great examples posted earlier in this thread, although I think a few parish churches would make a good contrast.
