well the question is a bit tough, because these architectures are from the 1200 - 1300
and sicilian "gothic" is influenced by both arabic and norman styles..
Maybe the real gothic (european) basilicas in southern italy is St. Chiara abbey, And st. Lorenzo church in Naples:
(mind that italian gothic is very poor, with little decorations. except from central italian gothic of Orvieto or towns near florence)

and San Lorenzo

well, this is gothic

Yes, it is. They have a very Provençal or even Catalan look, with those single wide aisles. That's weird for Italy, not to speak about how monochrome they are.

For the ultra-detailed buildings like Cologne Cathedral, did just one person design it, or was it a team? My guess would be they hired individual sculptors from across the city to create their own statues, but in a style matching to the rest of the building, because that would be astounding if one guy designed every last detail on the building.

I love this rose window, from Milan Cathedral, I believe.

Church of Caudebec-en-Caux (Normandy, 15th and the early 16th centuries) :

King Henri IV would have said : " it is the most beautiful chapel of my kingdom "

Facade (unfortunately everything was mutilated by the Calvinists during the religious wars and the fires by the bombardments of June, 1940 ) :

It's not the simple use of pointed arch what makes gothic style, but the idea of a building where light is the most important thing.
