Both are the most famous masterpieces of the 70s.
Which one do you like more?

bit of a city vs city thing, isn't it? At least the Chrysler vs Woolworth thread was two from the same city.

This is an amazing comparison, and I have to go with Sears. I hate to do it to Manhattan, but it got beat on this one!

I don't know if you realize this, but this was already done in one on one as the final of the 1970s Cup. (Sears won.)

Oh, sh*t, you're right.

Eh, maybe not everyone voted in the 70s cup

Willis Tower for sure. As amazing as the WTC were, Willis is just superb.

Sorry to break it to you! You're fine. Polls like this are only for people who are regulars on this website who know a thing or two. The true results may be revealed though.

Personally, I liked the WTC more (favourite buildings in the world, tied with one other building) because of its soaring, uninterrupted shape, no setbacks, awesome arrangement, and looked like the two guardians of NYC. Although I adore black skyscrapers, as well.
WTC, 10/10
Sears, 9.5/10

One of the coolest things I have ever seen on SSP is on the New York diagrams page. Click only built, then destroyed, and make pinnacle height number 1. It shows, in order, 1WTC, ESB, and 2WTC. The WTC Towers seem to be the bodyguards of ESB and they engulf the building. It is so amazing and touching.

The trade towers for their flawless geometry and sheer size.

For me both are 10/10 but I Willis is still a bit better. In my opinion Willis is the most beautiful building on the planet

I'm closing these skyscraper vs skyscraper threads as most of these vs threads, like city vs city, really don't bring anything to the table. Until we'll have a tucked away section for these, please refrain from starting them in this section, thanks. I really don't want this section flooded with these.
