I suppose it's all sad, but I hated almost everything about him. Some of his buildings were nice, but that doesn't take from the fact he designed the most boring capital in the world.

Brasilia is one of the most beautiful capital cities in the world. And it works, in the middle of the Brazilian savannah. Seriously, I think most capital cities of the "developed" world should just copy Brasilia for their own sake.

^No thanks! The "developed" world shouldn't copy anything Brazilian, especially that lame bus system.

He didn't design Brasília, Lucio Costa did.

Everybody should copy their football team. Easier said than done I suppose.

There was an extensive programme about his life the other night on Globo, the Brazilian television channel. A great architect and a sad loss.
