Well it depends on where it went to get painted. It might take a week or two since they will have to strip off the old paint and apply the new paint. Etihad's new livery is a complex one and will require some time to apply it. Probably wont be done till next week sometime is my guess.

I think he is referring to the new one at Paine Field. It entered the paint hanger last weekend and should be out later this week.

Those who don't like 777 pictures, this is my kind warning:

Do not enter Page 120! You will have bad dreams otherwise.

That day was special to hundreds of visitors and aviation fans. It is far away from beeing Spam.

The north atlantic jetstream is nicely set up to blow a 777 over from JFK to LHR in 5 hours dead some day this week....watch flightradar for candidate heavies coming in over Ireland.

Early last year a BA 777-200 did a 5 hour 16 leg (probably exceeding Mach 1 on occasion) on that JFK-LHR sector with that winter jetstream up his big fat ass.

Sorry about that. I thought you were talking about one that was in the fleet already. When it comes out it will be posted on the page by a spotter or by a employee.

For me Mach 1 is related to airspeed, temperature and the height.

Example:
Mach 1 for a plane flying at 10.000 meters with a temperature of -50C is 1079.3 kph.

The flight envelope protection systems of a Boeing 777-200 most probably are not going to allow the plane to exceed Mach 1.

Of course, it is possible that the plane encounters a groundspeed of well over 1079,3 kph (groundspeed of over 1200 kph are not uncommon in the winter over the Atlantic).
However, the groundspeed does not determine Mach 1.
