The big change that the 747 gave us was longer range flights. It's true that the A380 has not significantly changed the airline industry, but the A300 (the first wide-body twin) had a much more consequential impact on the industry than the 777-300ER or the 747. The A300 paved the way for all the successful wide-body twins than have followed: 767, A330, 777, 787, and A350. The highly successful wide-body twins we have today, especially the A330 and 777, have given us much better economy and dispatch reliability, which killed off the tris and have almost completely killed off the quads.

You mean the BA 777 that has been repaired?

It suffered an uncontained engine failure during take-off on a flight from Las Vegas to London last year. The engine fire damaged the fuselage at the location of the section that has now been replaced.

Don't know why you wouldn't? QF's B744 VH-OJH sustained extensive damage during her golf course excursion in late 90's. After her repairs & return to service the aircraft was probably one of the most reliable in the fleet of QF's B744's.

We’re proud to welcome the newest member of our fleet, our new Etihad Cargo B777 freighter.

The new aircraft is the first in our fleets to be equipped with nine seats to carry additional grooms as part of our Sky Stables product.

That's not true at all!!!

Do you say that just because the A300 was the very first wide-body, twin jet? Don't lie yourself, the number of engines is anecdotal. An A300 had NOTHING to do with a B777 ....both are aircraft and both has two engines ...but all other is fully different.

The first trully successful twin-engine was the B-767, which today is on production and being delivered. At an early stage, curiously, the A330 was a mere complement of the four engines A-340 which Airbus did for the long haul market ...does anyone still remember that Airbus' slogan "4 engines 4 long-haul"?

I agree with you.

I was watching the "Planes that changed the world" documentary a few days before this, and thinking that the likes of Boeing 777-300ER (and Airbus A300) may deserve better coverage than A380

I wouldn't have any objections or worries to fly onboard her.
They reconstructed everything what were damaged, frame is as strong as new one. Engine is brand new.
-------------

Crystal Luxury Air's 777-200LR will be outfitted by Greenpoint Technologies in Moses Lake. LN952 P4-XTL (formerly F-OLRA in Air Austral's fleet) is being stored in Victorville after painting, awaits hangar space in Moses Lake (probably place after V787-8 N28MS outfitting finish):

Crystal Air's 777-200LR is already in Moses Lake. That article above was from last September.
