Yeah - that banner has caused a bit of a stir on twitter.

It's a nice livery, but I prefer the old one...

Like every new livery that comes out it's going to take time to grow on me.

I believe full-body colored liveries are getting rare because of the high cost of maintaining such a livery. I can imagine how much it costs for Korean Air and Qatar Airways to keep their liveries reasonably clean.

Paint with color in it is actually significantly heavier (When you're talking about the amounts of paint it takes to cover a jumbo jet) than white paint. The extra weight of making your plane blue instead of white is as much as 2 passengers and their bags. Multiply that by several thousand flights over the life of the aircraft and you're talking about a lot of lost revenue in fuel costs.

Would have preferred that there was more of the light blue that they had on their old livery. Don't like the font.

An Indonesian airline, Sriwijaya Air, is planning to purchase 2 Boeing 777 next year. I have no clue whether if they're planning to buy a brand new one or second hand planes?

Maybe second hand, because brand new 777 almost 350 million dollar.

Several English language news reports from last month even talk about 3 777s. As they are 777-200 (ER or not unclear) it will be 2nd hand planes, which are readily available on the market. They will be used for Hajj charter flights to Saudi Arabia.

The list price of a 777-300ER is $339.6 million (ex engines), but Boeing would be very happy to sell a couple for a much lower price to this airline if they want to. If this airline can get financing in place for this purchase there's no reason why they couldn't place a direct order for a new plane. But since there are many used 777s which plenty of live left in them on the market it's probably a better option for them right now.

Swiss ordered another 777-300ER, they will now have 10 in total.

United were the launch customer for the 777. I'm surprised that Boeing seem to have forgotten that.
